Tom King, Nick Dorney, Jim Wagstaff, Michael Beruldsen

Tom King

Managing Director

Tom played an integral part in starting Up 2 Speed, in October 2012, along with business associate, Nick Dorney. Both have had extensive experience working together and within the Learning & Development space across the Asia Pacific region, Tom based out of Singapore since 2003 (and Nick since 2007).

The Up 2 Speed goal was to create a learning organization that was fast paced, and flexible enough to bring best of breed learning solutions to match to our international client requirements.

Up 2 Speed is now seen as a market leader in providing sales, pre sales, and partner planning / partner development solutions within the IT & Telecommunications space. The company is also pushing the boundaries in on-line learning and smartphone/ tablet application design & development, with a particular focus on working with major IT&T organizations, Financial Institutions, and FMCG companies on key topics ranging from Induction, Product Releases, Compliance and Leadership Skills.

At the end of 2013, Tom played a chief role in getting Up 2 Speed to form a joint venture with Leading Learning provider Peak Teams; creating a new company, Peak Teams Asia, based out of Singapore. Peak Teams Asia provides the most innovative and high octane solutions around Leadership & High Performance Team work that exist today (not for the feint hearted!).

Outside of work, Tom enjoys spending time with his family (wife and 3 kids under the age of 4) watching sport (mainly Rugby & Cricket) and he maintains a keen interest in history. Tom is also in the process of writing a book about his experiences as a sales guy in Asia.

Both Tom and Nick are very proud of the rapid growth of Up 2 Speed, and more recently Peak Teams Asia, whilst at the same time retaining their work hard – play hard attitude that they have been known for over the years.

Nick Dorney

Director, Sales & Operations

Establishing the Up 2 Speed, Peak Teams Asia and Renewtrak Asia businesses have been the major highlights in Dorney’s career in recent years. Having spent nearly all of his working life in the corporate Learning and Enablement space, along with long time colleague, Tom King, he co-founded Up 2 Speed in October, 2012.

Headquartered out of Singapore, Dorney and King have been proud of the Up 2 Speed business development across the Asia Pacific region and in parts of Europe and the U.S.A so far.

This growth can largely be attributable to the teams carefully selected Up 2 Speed network of global delivery resources – Facilitators, Coaches, Consultants and Digital Designers.

Many of these experienced resources have worked with Dorney and King for upwards of 10 years. Another major highlight for Dorney and King in recent times has been the growth of their Peak Teams Asia business, also headed out of Singapore, which they setup along with Peak Teams co-founder Ian Schubach, at the end of 2013.

Having had success across various parts of Asia partnering with Schubach and the amazing Peak Teams Event delivery resources (coming from Australia and the USA) since 2008, an opportunity presented itself to setup Peak Teams Asia.

Peak Teams, through their unique set of extreme adventurers who are highly skilled facilitators – bring something different to the table; ensuring that Corporate Events, Kick-offs or Off-sites have a huge amount of impact, flare and overall learning/ key takeaways for all participants.

Picking up on some of their clients key needs in the Renewals space, Dorney and King, along with long-time business associate, Jim Wagstaff, also established Renewtrak Asia in 2015. Using a highly robust and customizable technology, Renewtrak simplifies, automates and improves the support, maintenance & licensing renewal rates for our technology sector clients.
